Hey guys,

Well, seeing as I was just ma'amed at my front door, thought I'd ask.
I really thought my tits were the big problem as they never seemed to bind properly but now they're gone, I have no excuse.  :icon_sniff: between that and the five o clock shadow I sure make one ugly chick now!
So about how long on T (assuming you didn't pass consistently before) before the ma'ams eased up?

I didn't vote because I think the reason I pass in public is when we are out my kids are normally with me and calling me dad. I think people also are just not sure abut me so with the "dad" and the mens restroom they make thier decision from that, not form any T affects.

Do your kids know you were born female?

Ohh yeah, I am at the beginning of my transition only on T four months and top surgery next week, they are 9 and 10 years old. They seem to have little problem and switched from mom to dad right away, I am finding kids are much better at it , pronouns and all.

Started around 3 months or so, probably not 100% until 4-5 months or so.  That said, I did get a ma'am at a tire place about 9 months on T, though everyone else there sir'ed me.  Not sure what that deal was, so I ignored it.

Only got ma'am on the phone once but I was pretending to be my former self.  Nails on a chalk board!

Do they still call their dad Dad?

My kids don't want to call me dad because they have a dad.  They don't like Daddy or Pop or any of those.  At home they call me Mom, which I don't mind.  It's in public they refrain or call me Da-ad in a silly voice with an eye roll.

They are adopted and before I transitioned they had two moms, now in thier eyes they have a normal family with a mom and a dad. So I think it was much easier for them, in that way. I still can't convince , well not trying to hard, them that we are not a "normal" family! And who wants to be normal anyway?
Cheers,

I have recently started to pass about a month ago, I'm around 5 months on T now although I don't pass 100% yet and still get the old once over of "what are you?" from passers by sometimes.  I don't know why it is so important to some people to know exactly what gender I am but it certainly seems to be.  It will happen Nero and probably when you least expect it. That's what happened to me.  I started passing when I least expected it.
