New and not so new

Hi all,

I guess you could say I have been lurking here on and off for a very long time.

I first found Susan's when I was searching for my direction.. a long, long time ago.
I am 42 and am a Bowers girl.. my surgery was February of 2008.

I have a few friends who happen to be here already and hope perhaps to make more, or at least lend just one more prospective to the forums.

As others have already addressed, it is so easy to just turn your back on the community once you have had surgery, and try to forget the journey. Being here I hope never to forget, and hopefully can lend an ear and a hand to others traveling the path.

Welcome Shana.  I am fairly new myself - less than four months as Kate. 

I've found a lot of support here.  And lots of help puzzling out this crazy world we - as TGs - find ourselves in.

Hi Shana and welcome, i have been on hormones 15 months, out to my family and extended family, i will be completely out to all that need to know except work in a few weeks, then concentrate on coming out at work and getting my name change done and hopefully start the new year by going full time.
