That was a beautiful hijacking, LordKAT!  :icon_flower:

Apparently, giraffes make a bleating noise.  Mmmm...smells like Picard's dead nephew!  (...have I mentioned that I have a warm place by the fire waiting for me?)

If curiosity really killed the cat, I'd already be dead.

You I find intriguing. A trucker and with style. I'm glad you found someone to share this piece of your life with and I get the feeling Janet feels the same.

uh oh now I'm really blushing.

second hijack then.

When I was growing up in the 60's, I learned to love Sherlock Holmes and Spock. I thought then as I do today that reasoning things out is better than emotional debate. The ability to use logic, seemed to me, a way to figure out who I was as well as not get blamed for things I did not do or credit for what I did. Remember this is childhood. As I got older the idea that logic and reason and science could be used to find truth was a big thing for me.

Therefore the avatar of a character I respect.  I still think that if people used logic instead of trained upbringing that they would or should be able to see who we are without letting preconceived notions infect their decisions on how to treat us. By us I mean any who have been through discrimination whether that be race, religion , or or trans issues.

I could go on but I am not the most talented in getting my thoughts into written words. I do hope I have been able to get my basic thought through however.

Janet,

Your pic reminds me of a free spirited woman who knows what she wants but has to be reminded now and then that you are beautiful in your own right. If I am wrong I apologize.  I do love the way you seem to be able to mediate many disagreements on these forums and can see you going far in human relations. (Unfortunately you already have a special someone so I can't have you here.) Bummer. Thanks for all your kind words.

Ooh Ooh caption competition!

QuoteJanet, your pic reminds me of...

...a proctologist enjoying a funky, post-examination finger-scent!

Who's next for a go at the unofficial "caption competition"? :)

Book: "What are we up to, sweetheart?"

River: "Fixing your Bible."

Book: "I, um...(alarmed)...what?"

River: "Bible's broken. Contradictions, false logistics - doesn't make sense." (she's marked up the bible, crossed out passages)

Book: "No, no. You - you can't...

River: "So we'll integrate non-progressional evolution theory with God's creation of Eden. Eleven inherent metaphoric parallels already there. Eleven. Important number. Prime number. One goes into the house of eleven eleven times, but always comes out one. Noah's ark is a problem."

Book: "Really?"

River: "We'll have to call it early quantum state phenomenon. Only way to fit 5000 species of mammal on the same boat." (rips out page)

Q: How many surrealists does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Seven: two to bend the clock, one to hold the ladder, and four to turn the giraffe.

Any relation to the white ephelant I've been trying
to get rid of for years? You know, the one that stands
in the living room, the one no one will talk about.
