I'm curious if somewhere on the internet, there's some kind of conversion chart or something?
I've had no luck finding any men's pants that fit me in any kind of normal or flattering way, and it's pissing me off. I've got two pairs of shorts I stole from my best friend (from when he was heavier) and those fit, and I've got a pair of these pretty unisex looking olive drab cargo pants. Those are the only pants I feel any kind of comfortable in (leaving the house) and I hate it. When it's rainy/cold, I like wearing straight-legged pants tucked into my combat boots, but I can't really do that now. Because I'm worried it'll make me look like an exceptionally ugly girl.

So I'm wondering if anyone's seen a chart like that, or hell if someone on any side of this could help me out.
Hence why I put it in here, instead of specifically ftm.

Part of the problem could be that I've got a weird body shape, but eh...I figure any input is good. Right?

For reference, I usually wear 20-22 in women's sizes. My gut is where alllllll my fat is, though. My legs aren't fat, I don't have much of a butt and my hips are really only big because of my damn gut. When I was even a tiny bit smaller, I had no hips.
So maybe it's that stretch factor? I've yet to find guy's jeans that have any stretch to them.

Anyway, any kind of suggestions or input for sizes would be great. When I sell this next painting I'm probably going to do a bit of shopping online (I hate doing it in store, I'm never quite sure which dressing room to use and it kicks off my panic attacks).

I don't know anything about women sizes but I am surprised you're having trouble with finding pants in mens because your fat distribution sounds a lot like a mans.

I am still very woman-shaped, I have hips and a big ass hahah. I know Walmart has a brand that has a flex-stretch-type-waist thing for mens jeans. I haven't tried them personally but maybe they'll help.

Pants that I have found that fit the best for me are Wrangler and George brands, 34Wx30L, Regular or Relaxed/Loose Fit. I know those are Walmart brands but I'm cheap and it is so hard to find 30L pants. Also that sounds like they are baggy but they're pretty clean cut looking. I find that Straight Leg are too tight on my legs and make them look really feminine but if you have skinnier legs you could give those a try too.
The story is the same, I've just personalized the name.

Hi Chaos,

I'm shaped like that but don't know what my women's size would have been. I just went with waist and inseam. If you're short and stocky, it can be kind of hard to find a lot in your size. If you're tall, you might do better at Big and Tall or one of the big men's stores. Have you tried matching the size of the shorts you like?

Note: Make sure to sit down facing a mirror or have someone else check you sitting down before you buy, whether you pack or not. (This seems to be more important with dress pants or tighter ones. But unless you wear them falling off your ass baggy, better to check.) If you pack, bring it with you. If you don't, make sure things are okay down there, not tight, etc. I've nearly walked out with pants that look horrible in that area...

Finally sat down and measured myself, went off that and found a pair of pants and a pair of shorts that fit the other day.

@Admin, I'm pretty short. 5'6, but it's not a huge deal when I can find straight leg pants. I just hem them up and I'm good. I've found that baggier pants are a pain to hem because they end up hanging really strangely, so...yeah.

I always, always check. I don't currently pack so I'm always a little paranoid, so I double-triple-quadruple check, and then harass my friends to make sure it looks okay.

Da Monkey, I'll have to check that out then. When I still wore womens' jeans (regularly) I got a lot of them at Walmart, highfive for being cheap!
Straight leg actually works pretty well on me because my legs, at least proportionately to the rest of me, are lean-ish.

Thanks guys, it's always helpful to suggest brands to me 'cause I've never been a label shopper, I just grab whatever works, which leaves me in the dark if I'm ordering online or something.
I'm kicking myself for not measuring myself sooner, though.

If you haven't yet, you could try a relaxed fit.
