What is the difference after first time you laser? is it any noticable?

Also. how long should I wait after plucking or waxing (is it the same wait time?) and when I do laser on my face?

hmm.... Ok, have you looked into Laser yet ?  You do not do it to yourself.  As for when to pluck or wax afterwards, I'd say not at all.  After a laser treatment it can be 3 weeks before the hairs fall out ( it varies ).  Normally they recommend laser ever 6 wks or so,  to give time for the dead follicles to exit and the next cycle of hair growth to get going well enough to be a target.

Especially the waxing thing, you do want to shave prior to a treatment, but don't wax, that would make it hard for the laser to be effective.

The first time you may not notice any change, there are a LOT of follicles.  Some won't be killed off immediately and some are just coming up to the surface.  Have your tech take some pictures before you start.

What color of hair do you have, how old are you and what is your skin tone ??

I meant how much time to wait after plucking or waxing because I plucked about a week ago and want to know how long to wait before my scheduling first treatment.

I am 20 years old, black hair (or is it really dark brown like my hair color?) and quite light, a bit pale but not completely.

Ask the tech what they think.  I do not know, but would guess at least 3 weeks.

It varies depending on how dense your hair is already and your skin colour.

After one session you shouldn't expect anything incredible like bald spots necessarily, but it would probably be slightly thinner and less dense overall.

Most good laser operators will give a free consultation and a patch test, before they schedule any formal work.

They will normally estimate how many sessions will be required, discuss the types of laser they have available, and the cost (there are usually deals to be had on multiple sessions). ::)

You want to make sure you are happy with the type of treatment you select by doing your homework, so why not check out the Wiki ;) ......

From your avatar, you should not have any problems. ;)

So 2-3 weeks after treatments some hairs should start shedding?

In my case the hair started to go between weeks 1 and 2.

Big warning with laser though... It's a little like 2 steps forward, 1 step back as you go along. After my second treatment I was feeling great. I was wondering why the heck anyone would need so many sessions to complete their whole face. And then... BAM... the next hair growth cycle started and some of the bare spots now had hair again. Fortunately my laser tech had warned me it was coming. But still... it's disheartening.

But then you have that delicious bug-zapper sound and the smell of burning hair during the treatments to compensate. Feels like you're really taking it to those nasty whiskers! Take that!! Mwa-hah-haah! Umm... or maybe that's just me.

It is just the hairs being shed.  Wait till about 4 weeks and then look again.

It has been quite a while since my last session, at least 6 months, and I go thru phases where there is nothing but grey.  And then there are times where I have to use a cover.

I am hoping to begin again.  But in the mean time I pluck.  Ouchy!!!!

You might be shedding hair you couldn't see, sure. When you plucked before did you ever notice how much of the shaft was beneath your skin? Well they cooked it now and it's all working it's way out, making you feel like there's more. Quite alarming isn't it! Anyway it's ok to shave after a couple days if your skin isn't irritated. I used to pluck here and there the day after a treatment, I just delighted so very much in the burned roots sliding out and I didn't scar or regrow or anything nasty like that.

What kind of job did you apply for?

customer service for an internet/tv company in israel.

Simple! but comfortable, no one has to see me :D

Though I need something better if I ever want the surgery @@..

Good luck sweety, a job is a job and these days that's a hard thing to come by. Take a nice long shower and shave after youve steamed for a while to make it easier on your tender hide. When are you going back for more laser?

6 weeks and 3 days! but who counts :D (they set it 7 weeks after the first treatment)

I am going to try and make "Indie Games" for XNA Community/XBOX with my boyfriend too, so we can try and earn money for my FFS surgery.. starting count for 40,000$! hopefully before Dr. O retires ;-;

My experience is that it took 3 sessions of laser before I could see a noticeable difference.  Even then, there are a lot of hairs left ... but I am older and have grey as well as brown/red hair on my face.  Hence the laser doesn't get the grey ones !  That's what electrolysis is for ;)  Chances are you will need some of that as well.  Unfortunately, this is not a quick process.

For reference, my tech recommends 6 wks between treatments as well.  She also says that you will likely wait 3 wks before you'll see what "happened".
