A transvestite suffered 'horrendous' life-threatening burns after being drenched in petrol and set alight following a row over a missing handbag, a jury heard today.

Birmingham Crown Court was told that Ricardo da Silva was attacked at his flat in the city last December after property belonging to two of his friends, including the Louis Vuitton handbag, could not be found.

Prosecutor Peter Grieves-Smith alleged the 'pre-meditated' attack was planned by Brazilian nationals, Gabryela Passos, 29, and her 22-year-old friend, Raphael Modesto.

That is despicable!!  WTF is wrong with people?!?!? 

Both defendants deny attempted murder and Modesto further denies an alternative charge of arson with intent to endanger life.

What do you think is gonna happen when you douse someone in gasoline and set them on fire??  SERIOUSLY!!
