Hormones in relation to those who already have BREAST IMPLANTS?

1. I was wondering how does hormone work for those who already have breast implants and still need to continue taking hormones. Say the boobs reached size A with hormones, then you put a silicone implant it became B, when you continue to take hormones, can it reach size C? I wonder what mess goes on inside the body in relation to breasts growth by hormones once a silicone has been implanted.

2. Now for those who haven't silicone implant yet but taking hormones, will the surgeons remove some fats accumulated by the hormones to make the silicon fit well inside? By the end it's just like a waste we've taken hormones all this time for boobs to grow when the fats will be removed again by the surgeon to put in the silicone implant.

Can somebody enlighten on these 2 please? Thanks.

Doctors recommend waiting at least 18 months before getting implants to let the body develop enough so there will be enough tissue, breasts continue to develop after 18 months for many years, just slower, some woman develop an A cup then get implants to a B or C cup, over the years they may get to a C or D cup, gaining weight also will make the breasts bigger. There are quite a few ways implants are inserted, under the chest muscle or over and different ways it insert them, the incision can be in the arm pit area, around the edge of the aureole, under the breast or thru the navel, you can research this online. Once the implants are inserted further development would be normal, no mess.

No Fat or tissue is removed when you get implants, the surgeon makes a pocket under the breast then inserts the implant, you can research this online too.

I wouldn't say there is any mess that goes on after an implant. A capsule is created to hold the implant, and any new growth simply continues as it would before. Some women, postop GRS, have quite a bit of additional breast development, some don't. Really, it's a crap-shoot based on your DNA.

I developed a small B cup with a year on HRT, then had implants done. I am now a DD, and hopefully won't grow much more, although I've noticed a bit already.... As for how it looks? Fabulous!

If you don't mind me asking, how big did you go with the implants?

I don't think I could deal with DD's.  That's just way to big for me.  I have some breast forms that get me a full B cup, and that's good for me.  I measured a couple times just to be sure.

I don't want to get any breast implants.  Hopefully I can get to a B on my own.  My mother has a D, so I am hopeful.

Back on topic.  I've heard you need to wait anywhere from 9 months to 24 months.  Personally, I am going to wait 2 years from now before making any implant decisions.

Paula said pretty much everything that i was going to.

In regards to the "mess" going on, I don't think there is going to be mess if the breasts keep growing.  I am a little curious on the results would look like based on placement of the implants (infront of the muscle, between the muscle, or behind the muscle) if the breasts grow more.

Valerie, I took into account the size of the breasts of the women in my family, my development after a full year on a high dosage of hormones, and the advice of several different doctors with experience in the area of HRT before I decided to get implants when I did. Yes, there is still a chance my breasts will grow more, and possibly more than I'd like, but the odds are I won't see much additional growth. And so far, the benefit has far outweighed the risk, as having breasts appropriate to my dimensions has made an enormous improvement in my confidence level and sense of completeness. My smaller breasts were far far too small for my size, and really didn't even look as large as man-boobs.

My surgeon bases the recommended size of implants on very careful measurements of your chest as well as existing breast tissue. He wants to give breasts that look normal and correct for your body, as well as being the safest for you in terms of prevention of possible issues. My implants were 616cc, which sadly means nothing really, as that size in someone smaller than myself would be enormous, and in someone larger would be small. I have a friend who got 700cc implants and has smaller looking breasts, because she has a much larger frame. Although my breasts are DD now, they really are perfect for my frame. I wouldn't want them any smaller, and I really don't want them any bigger either.

I wasn't saying they were bad for you, I am just saying that would be horrible for me.  One of my friends told me yesterday that if I had DD's I would fall over.

Although Dr. Z said I should consider D's, but even that's too big for my tastes.

I didn't think you were criticizing. I was just answering your question about how big I went, and addressing the other points in reference to myself.

I thought DD was too big for myself too. I didn't want to go over a D cup. But it's difficult for the surgeons to determine how your body will adjust to the implants, and so they can't guarantee what cup size you will get. I actually started out at the D cup I wanted, postop. But right away I lost a little weight (geez, it actually only took like 5 lbs) and that lowered my band size. Since the implants don't shrink with weight loss, that made them a DD cup. I was annoyed at first, but now I just love them, and they look perfect for my body.

But definitely stick with what you are comfortable with. That's what all this is about anyway, right? Nobody can say what is right for another, imo.

There is quite an easy (although might be wrong) way to tell if you'll need implants or not.

Find out your underbust measurement, your mother's underbust measurement.
What cup your mother has?

If you are about the same underbust as your mother, you should probably grow as she did.

Women are average 34B or 36B (can't remember which),
The thing is, 34B is 36A, 32C.
If a duaghter is smaller than her mother her breasts might weight the same but look bigger.

You usually grow about the same amount as your mother or so,

Sometimes more.. but the chances for more are a bit less, as you only have your mother's x chromosome.. and it's a good question to ask which of them too.

I was on E for 15 months prior to srs and ba.  The short answer is an implant does not slow or "Mess" with normal breast tissue growth.  The implant is placed either below the breast tissue or below the muscle.  My Surgeon recommended below the muscle as the looks for more natural for MtF.

oh i was about a B, had 400 ml implants installed on the recommendation of the good doctor (McGinn), which is on the small side.  Now after a little more growth I'm a C+ or D depending on the bra.  I find that for my height the size is proportional to my height and frame,  Ie looks natural which is what I was hoping.

I wouldn't count on that entirely.
My grandmother is well endowed, my aunt is well endowed, my mother is certainly not.

I took hormones beginning in December 2006, had my BA in February of 2009. At first, my breast where round perky, now they are round perky, dropped and georgous. The thing i did notice is I started to re-gain the puffy areola stage again meaning there's new growth happening.

I went with a 375CC/390CC and shooted for a Small D, im now a medium sized D with this pouffy areola stage.

Prior to implants I had a B cup.

Was BA right for me? You darn right it was, everything fills out better and dresses! I also am 23 and I dress right for my age, skin needs to show! It's a given.

Did I regret BA? Never!

Im pre-op SRS

What does CC stand for and what is areola?

Areola is that piece behind the nipple but not the breast itself, the nipples is the small round thing then you have a bigger round thing which is called the areola and CC is the size. Also CC can equaly be measured as ML (Milimeters)

Example if you fill a cup of rice at 250ML it would equal 250CC.
