Blue Peter's Peter Duncan's transsexual comments 'offensive', Ofcom says

Mr Duncan, who became Blue Peter's action man when he presented the programme in the 1980s, described the woman, who appeared on the show in 1978 playing household objects as musical instruments, as "this sort of half man, half woman, or in transition".

He was invited to watch the show on set as part of his audition to become a presenter, but said he was frightened off by the "bizarre panto dame who got carried away".
