I've been a member of this site for a little while but never introduced myself.
My name's Kade. I'm from a small conservative town in the southern US and I'm planning on transitioning soon without the support of my family. I have extremely homo/transphobic parents and am only somewhat out to a friend and my brother. Starting puberty was extremely hard and horrifying for me and it's good to know that I'm not the only person experiencing this. This site is great.

Best of luck. You may not have your family but you will want a supportive friend or two. This site is a great place to read and ask questions as well as just make like-minded friends. Welcome to a new home.

Hi Kade, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3100 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another member. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

Blessed Be.

Welcome Kade.

It is good you have at least some support.  This can be a difficult process.  Gather your support where you can.  Sometimes it comes from unexpected places.  Is there a larger town nearby that has a support group?  Usually a college town will have help available.  I've found supportive friends to be a big help - the more the better because then each one doesn't have to listen to all of my complaints. ::)

Good luck on your journey.  Keep us posted as to how you're doing. :)
