I know I haven't posted in awhile, but I come here regularly and read what's up with all you guys. I  love watching your progress, especially since I'm finally moving forward myself.

As I said last time, I've moved out of my parents' house. Since then, though, I've moved to DC, and gotten an internship with a congressman. I start on September 1st, and will be completely stealth. On the 25th, I have an appointment with a nearby GLBT clinic, and should be getting a T script, or at least a referral to one of their psychiatrists, who should then give me a T letter after a couple appointments. Things are going really well.

Also, my hair's the shortest it's ever been, and it's taking some getting used to. It definitely looks unmistakably male, but I'm still adjusting to it, and learning to be confident in my appearance. I'd carved out a niche for myself as being a very feminine, twink sort of guy, with shaggy hair and all that, but I'm even more comfortable with myself now, and am finding myself drawn to looking even more masculine. I really can't wait to start T...the only thing I'm really self-conscious about is my voice, and hopefully T will fix that relatively quickly.

So..yeah, just wanted to give you guys an update.

Yay! Don't know whether I'm more happy for you or jealous of you, but yay!

Sounds like everything's going well, which is always great to hear. Hope the happy awesomeness continues! ;D

Congrats on both the internship and T. Looks like you have things going well for you. I wish you luck. Read the jealousy on my face.... okay, so  you can't see it... imagine it then.

Congratulations. Here's to hoping I'll be getting the chance soon too.

Great to hear it's all going smoothly and working out, man. Sounded like things got a little rough there a while ago.

Congrats on the job, too :). There's nothing like a steady job to make transition a hell of a lot easier!

Ha ha, I thought you were already on T (you've always looked so).  Well, congratulations.

Thanks so much for all the kind words!

Those of you who are jealous, don't worry. This could all fall through at any second. Haha, kidding. But seriously...I understand exactly how you feel. I came out over four years ago, and I'm just now on the right path. I know how it feels to think you'll never manage to get on T, and to work and work for it and get nowhere, but eventually things will fall into place.

There's my new haircut in my avatar, btw. First time I've ever had one done with clippers. I like it, but it makes me want sideburns, bad. Hopefully I'll be able to grow some relatively soon.

The first haircut with clippers! huzzah! Enjoy it while you can, the cowlicks will soon start popping up  :P
