Yesterday I put on a motorcycle jacket I hadn't worn in a year.  It has tabs at the bottom to snug it against my hips to keep the wind from coming up under the jacket, and I had to loosen them a lot to get the jacket zipped.  So I must be getting hips! :eusa_dance:

(I know there are other possible explanations, but this is the one I'm choosing to believe. :eusa_snooty:)

That is fantastic dear. I wish mine would sprout. I really wish I had a fat butt but no matter how much I try including overeating it just doesn't happen. I am happy for you.

Ms.Behavin

it could be the backsides growing a bit.  That happens more often. Happened to me and I still knock things off tables when I turn around.

If you really are growing Hips....well I'm going to put you on Janet's List ;-)

In any event, Congrats on just being you.

I hope you are!  I'd love to see some growth in my hips.  Nice pic!  I ride too, would be nice to have wider hips on the seat!  Hugs.

Have I mentioned that I hate you?  :D :D :D :D

Three years on HRT and I'm just now starting to round out.  I've been flat as a board down there.

You start and it's like *poof* you have hips (and a butt probably!).  Did the hip fairy visit you when you were sleeping?

Ah the joys of puberty!

What can I say?  I guess my body was just waiting for that high octane stuff after all these years of running on diesel. ;)

Actually, you all may be right.  It may be more butt than hips. :P  But that's OK.  When I presented male I had several women mention my cute guy-butt.  Maybe I'll get a cute gal-butt and, if I'm really lucky, some cute guy will notice it. :D

And I'm not telling who visits me when I'm sleeping.  ::)

My ex always said I had a chemical back side. No assatall.  And I am afraid that I shall remain that way for a while.

um, i've been getting hips -- hurting when growing out (growing pains?) and the've been getting bigger, and bigger -- haha! I no longer have any pairs of pants that fit anymore. I bought some two months ago 'cause I ran into the same problem, but in the last few weeks they haven't been fitting.

Well, the bones aren't changing, which is the main factor in creating the female hourglass figure.  But you can gain weight.  Problem is, based on your genetics, you will also gain weight elsewhere, in places you don't want.

So I say put on the pounds until you have the size you want, where you want and then go in for lipo to get rid of the unwanted stuff.  Seems simple to me!  ;)

When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

the hip bones can change even at older age.
What causes the hips to expand in girl puberty is the pubic cartilage.
It is still cartilage as adult and expands again with the introduction of relaxin hormone while in pregnancy.
Although you would most likely notice fat coming and not hips expansion.

I think the best way to check the hip bones themselves is tend infront of a mirror, find the hip bones right below the ribs (should be around the belly button) and see where the bone itself is.
With a bit of fat and skin, hips should look as if they end a round where the shoulders/underarm starts.

The pubic area is one of only bones who fuse very late in life and even when they do they still have a lot of flexible cartilage which is reshaped even at late ages (and cartilage turns to bone)

Big hips don't mind wide hips bones, it usually means fat in that area.
Although wider hip bones can contribute.

There was a researcher testing hip shape on mice:
In his case it apparently was the lack of testosterone giving female hips.
Apparently at many times hips could come later.

Heh as for me I do NOT want hips wider than the motorcycle seat!

Changing to more male, I had to get rid of my womens jeans as I just didn't fit in 'em any more, I had to go get male shaped ones. Bigger I think but mainly different shape. Waist got bigger and leg muscles getting bigger too, but hopefully less of a girly-butt. It's a matter of shape, I see plenty of guys (who are not necessarily fat) with a wider ass than the girl they're with, it's just a different shape.

I do not so much care about my hips, as all agree that they are flat and scanty. I do not wish fat hips as it will mean a fat waist, too. I would love and choose a slim waist.

Although scanty, my hips are actually wide because of my large pelvic bones. This often prevents me from wearing 24 inch (US lady size 2) trousers: they fit to my waist, but not to my pelvic area. Instead, I can wear size 2 skirts or short pants.

Just do it.

Dear Kate,

I officially now hate you!  Well not really, of course, but I am green with envy.  I have an extreme case of aspirin butt.  Mine just looks like a white circle with a shallow line down the middle.

LOL aspirin butt now that is funny!

BTW I loved my last GF's "nonbutt" as she called it.

Funny, it's the same for me, I cannot put male trousers anymore because of waist and hip issues, though I'm losing weight every week.
I still have to wear the same much too large man pants I used to wear 3 years ago to go to the office. I just look like a clown.
At home, at least I've got my female trousers which fit me perfectly (but I have to buy new ones every 3 months because of my diet, of course).
After my FFS, next year, I plan to progressively go to the office in female trousers and suit... and later of course, when people get used to it, normale female attire.

Aurora you can get pants tailored, or business stuff like Brooks Bros Ann Taylor etc that will fit a female body but will have the proper "business like" appearance. Plus good ones are amazingly comfy!

Well I'm now 11 months on HRT, though at least 5 of those were spoiled by my T level spiralling out of control until it got back to my male base level  :icon_yikes:
A Decapeptyl implant eventually sorted that out.

I have put on half a stone and I definitely now have extra fat on my hips and ass.  8)
My post op friend says that area doesn't really fill out very much until post SRS (or presumably Orchi)
To those who understand, I extend my hand
To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am
Not under your command, I know where I stand
I won't change to fix your plan, Take me as I am (Dreamtheatre - As I Am)
I started out with nothing..... and I still have most of it left.
