Hi there Everyone!

I know this might sound silly to a lot of you but here I go!  lol

I just bought my very first high heels. One pair of pattent pumps with a matching purse to go with my evening outfit I recently got and a pair of boots with 4" heels.

I tried the pumps first and like them a lot. The matching purse is perfect.

But, I'm in love with my new boots!   ;D

What's funny is this.....

When I was a child, I walked on my toes all the time when I was barefoot. I walked everywhere on my toes, in grass and on concrete, all over the place. I continued walking on my toes into my teens and privately into my adult life, never knowing why I did it nor even paying attention to it as it was just sort of automatic.

Suddenly, I get my new heels. I've read in several places that it takes time and practice to wear heels. I slip on my new boots and astounded both myself and my sister by walking in them so easily the very first time. I almost feel like I've been training for them all my life. I don't know if I'm walking in them in a perfectly correct manner but I'm spending hours in them and walking all over the house and getting more and more used to them.

I love my new heels! I can't wait to try more styles. Uh-oh! I may be becoming one of those women that have hundreds of pairs of shoes, something for every occasion.  lol   :)

I just really wanted to share this as I feel so good about it. It just feels like such a good step toward my permanently living as a woman and becoming one soon after in all respects.

Thank you and take care Everyone,

*hugs*

Yes, it does take practice and time.  Honestly, I wouldn't know how to walk with 4 or 5 inch heels.  Besides, in my case, it would make me look as if I were walking with stilts, for I think I am already tall enough without heels.  I do have plenty of shoes with 2 and 2 1/2 inch heels, and they seem to work very well for me.

IMO walking with high heels is an art, and most GG's don't know how to walk with them, for they are constantly bending their knees.....ugh!

Genevieve , I'm with you girl. Can't get enough, and as for walking, my feet take a natural curl down so walking in heels seems natural. My only real bummer is that I have a wide foot, and can't always wear the shoes I really want!!!

Genevieve,
It doesn't sound silly to me or, I suspect, to many of us tgirls.  I am basically a CD and had been dressing in lingerie for decades and my own clothes for years when I first found I could get heels in my size without spending a fortune.  My first pair of real heels changed my life. I think it's got to be right up there with our first skirt, or wig as a watershed event.  I too had walked around on my toes when I was younger and now wear heels every opportunity I get.  One of my GG friends is a manager of a Payless Shoestore, (guess how we met!) and says she can't believe how well I do in heels.  Although she may be trying to increase her sales--lol!--I just think it's because TGs are more focused on technique, while some GGs think being able to walk in heels should just come with the genes.  I'm really too tall for anything but flats or kitten heels, but I just love those higher pairs.Speaking of height, I just got a call that a pair of  5" black patent pumps with an ankle strap has just come in to my favorite lingerie shop.  Those kind are mostly just for clubing, but its not as if my 50 other pairs are all that practical!  Anyway, welcome to the wonderful world of shoes, but watch out, they CAN be addictive!    Love, Vicki

I don't have much of a choice myself, my knees are bad and if i walk around with them locked like that, ill have to get replacements before im 40.  I think I'll sacrifice a little nicety to save my knees

I guess I'm one of those GG's that doesn't know how to walk in heels... Not that I'm a big wearer of heels in the first place! I think I might have failed femininity 101! LOL I bend my knees, swing my arms and still walk at my same vigorous pace!

Love shoes!!

Really enjoying ankle boots at the moment. I have to admit I think I walk quite well in heels, but walking on pavement as compared to indoors is a big difference. Ans if you want a barrel of laughs try walking on gravel. I went to a party and the drive way was gravel and a very long slope. Since it was a party all the girls were wearing heels, holding on too each other so as not to fall. A very good way of bonding with new cis-female friends  . Getting back up the driveway when having consumed some jungle juice was even worse.

The first time I wore heels to church, at least half the cis-women there commented to me that they couldn't wear heels and were surprised I did so well. :D

I've heard from several people that with the difference in skeletal structure (primarily the pelvis), it is easier for someone with a male skeleton to walk in heels than for a someone with a female skeleton to manage them.  So count your blessings, no matter how small or where you find them. ;)

I have a new appreciation for GGs (or anyone, for that matter) that make it look easy to walk in heels after buying my first pair a few weeks ago.

I can run in heels.

Walking like a lady, however, is an entirely different matter. :P

Your walking on you toes all the time really hit home with me!  I inherited my grandmother's feet.  All her life she could only wear heels.  Even her slippers had 3" heels.  I find that when my feet are relaxed that my toes bend upward.  When I stand and match that bend, it is just right for a 3 to 4" heel.  Consequently, I am quite comfortable in heels.  In fact after wearing my flats all day at work, I cannot wait to get home and get a pair of heels on.  My feet feel so much better   I do wish I could wear them all the time, sigh.

You may developing the Emilda Marcos syndrome. Many of us have a collection of shoes. Walking in heels has never been a problem for me. However, never go out ot the garden to check on the tomatoes wearing heels. Soft earth and heels are enemies. I desire a pair of 6 inch heels and try my luck at walking in them.

Kill heels are popular here in my country. I see long legs on kill heels in beachees. Yesterday night, I saw a lady run on kill heels, and the heel height was probably > 6 inch.

I suffered from foot pain particularly in the balls of my feet, Iv been wearing high heels for years and years now, how many pairs, slingbacks etc I just lose count, but even with buffing the skin the pain remains.
Iv tried cushioned pads in my heels but don't get much relief, I notice resently Im developing  bunions, strangely my Mam had bunions and wore heels all her life.
Any good advice, ekkk just don't tell me to give up my heels, I love wearing heels, the pain a girl suffers for the sake of fashion, Im so use to heels, if I don't wear them on a day, Im like a fish out of water.

It's funny, I always heard that "walking in heels is hard at first" yet i put my first pair on and just walked, no wobbly, no falls yet (knock on wood), and they feel comfortable and natural.  They help my flat feet too and are more comfy than my orthotics by a long shot.

I find walking in my heels comfortable, but the way my feet are at the moment standing in them too long is getting painful, when I go out to dinner with my BF I wear heels all the time but sitting at a table I often slipped them off to rest my feet and he doesn't even notice, he says my heels add style to my legs (a guys opinion) I surpose its a small price for a girl to pay to look good, fashionable and feminine.
