I just started hrt, and I was curious if anyone had any advice for a new sister.  Lol.

don't panic (obvious)
the emotional changes coming first will probably be the biggie until breast development kicks in (then don't bump into anything if you know what's good for 'ya x_x)

Congrats Kira on starting hormones,

If you could tell us a bit more, no dosages please, what you are taking as an anti-androgen and what you are taking for estrogen, are you taking these all at one time or in divided dosages, morning and night, are any being taken sublingually (under the tongue) or just swallowed.

I know many that were not told the correct way to take their hormones and it affected development and caused other problems.

I am just checking hon i want you to be safe and get maximum results.

My only advice is to make sure your working with a doctor for the hormones and that you are getting quarterly blood tests.

I am taking estradiol tablet and spironolactone tablet orally in the morning when I get up.  How should I be taking them?

Probably with water. They are hard to swallow on a dry mouth.

If you are self medicating I strongly advise you see a doctor. At least you can ask them to monitor you.

Kira, you're going to feel the changes with your emotional state first.
Welcome to womanhood.
Personally, I like feeling more feminine than ever before.

Be careful to monitor your hormone levels (testosterone should be kept low, estradiol should be kept at normal female levels, and progesterone... up to your judgement).

Also, monitor your liver enzymes, oral intake of hormones put stress on the liver.
