OKLAHOMA OK I When anti-gay Oklahoma state Rep. Sally Kern, pictured, runs for re-election in 2010, she will face transgender lawyer Brittany Novotny. Novotny plans to officially announce her candidacy in late September or early October.
Oklahoma state Rep. Sally Kern made headlines when she warned the audience at a Republican fundraiser that "gays are infiltrating city councils" and "they are winning elections."

Kern won't have to worry about that menace in her upcoming 2010 race for re-election. Her main opponent, Brittany Novotny, is not gay. She's transgender.

Meanwhile, Kern continues to appear to cater to the extreme right-wing. In June, she issued her "Proclamation for Morality" declaring that the United States has become a "world leader in promoting abortion, pornography, same sex marriage, sex trafficking, divorce, illegitimate births, child abuse and many other forms of debauchery."

Her proclamation misquoted the country's founding fathers and advocated for unconstitutional takeover of government by religion and blamed the current economic crisis on immorality.

Well, she has the last part right, I think most of it was brought on by greed, but it was not the gays who got all greedy, seems to me it was the county club Republicans.

As for United States has become a "world leader in promoting abortion, pornography, same sex marriage, sex trafficking, divorce, illegitimate births, child abuse and many other forms of debauchery" all I can say is "USA is #1.  USA! USA!

Other than the fact that China is the real world leader in abortions, high divorce rates tend to be centered in the bible belt (i.e. her supporters), 'illegitimate' is culturally defined, the former Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc is now the leader in porno, lots of nations have much more liberal same sex marriage laws then we do, Asia seems to lead in sex trafficking (why didn't she just say 'white slavery'?) and contrary to what she said the US leads in prosecuting child abuse which is basically a non-crime in most of the world.  But other than being wrong about everything, oh wait, once you're wrong about everything, what else matters?
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...
