Tiger messed up my plans!

So today I planned on doing some things this morning then later sitting down to watch golf.  For the non-fans, it's the last day of the second round of the championship playoffs (Fed Ex Cup).

Tiger has been pretty flat (by his standards) and nine (9) strokes off the lead at the start of the day.  Not much chance of challenging and even less chance of winning.

Before I leave, I check online and see Tiger is six under (-6) after seven holes putting him only three strokes off the lead!  Now I'm scrambling to see if I can find some live video coverage of him playing.  The PGA coverage mentions him but they have their cameras elsewhere on the course.  You'd think they would be scrambling to follow Tiger, who could have one of his best rounds ever.  So I continued to watch and they continued to show the same stuff and no Tiger.

And time ticks away and my plans for this morning go undone.

Oh well.  I guess I'll just have to change my plans because TV coverage starts in 30 minutes.  Thank god for procrastination!   8)

I refuse, on principle, to have anything to do with a sport whose very name is an acronym for "Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden."  ;)

I think that's a "backronym"...a bit of an urban legend.  I just don't like the game, mostly because I'm not into sports but partly because of being dragged around a rainy course as a kid while my father had a good chatter with his pals. :)

Tiger still has a long way to go.

He finished -8 (63).  Not too shabby but that won't win unless an earthquake destroys the course and the rest of the field has to play on it.

I got back from grocery shopping didn't even bother to check on it before leaving because he was so far back. Come in turn on the TV and see he finished at 12 under! So bummed I missed it but like you said they didn't show it. They should always know to cover him as he is rarely really "out of contention".
Cheers,

Funny thing, Tiger is playing as well as he ever has, perhaps better - but the competition has risen to meet him, kind of like the 'dream team' and international basketball.  Yeah, the first year we creamed them all, next time round, not so easy.  So Tiger dominated for a few years there, now he has competition.

It's nice to see a competition vs. when he just beats everyone and no one comes close. His putter does seem to be a bit off lately but that is not based on statistics of any kind. Just based on my WII super skills (haha).

Ooooooooooooooooooo, and I bet you can play guitar on Guitar Hero better than Jeff Beck too, well, except for no one is going to pay $45 bucks a ticket to see you do that.

No guitar hero, I just play golf with the kids sometimes on the weekend. I have no WII skills what so ever, was kind of a joke.  Also know next to nothing about golf. My mad skills are  on real exciting things like excel spreadsheets, Word and Power Point and other very exciting business skills. You should see me whip out a budget! I have a feeling no one would pay $45 to see that.
Cheers,
Myles

Oh no, being able to build workable budgets is a real skill and I think people do pay for that.  Not to watch it, but to have someone do it.
