We received the email below from Alexis Lake, a MTF post-op who is a therapist in Malvern, PA. She is forming two new FTM discussion groups and asked us to pass on the information. Even though the offer may not specifically apply to you, please forward it to any FTM friends you might have. She is planning on hosting similar MTF discussion groups early next year.

www.TransCentralPA.orgMy name is Alexis Lake and I am a therapist who works with adults dealing with gender identity and their families, friends, and loved ones. I will be running two new groups that some of your members might be interested in, and I don't know how to get the word to them. Allow me to give you the details and perhaps you can tell me the best way to get the word out to them.
Both groups will meet for eight weeks and are 'closed' groups in that once they start there will be no new additions to the group. If there is demand I will repeat each group as needed.
The first group will tentatively meet for two hours on Friday nights from 7-9 beginning on September 25th for eight weeks and will be for those people transitioning, or contemplating to soon transition, from female to male. The format will be a brief check in, discussion about a pre-arranged topic and a flex-time to discuss emerging difficulties. There will be ten seats available. The fee will be $50.00 per two hour session and will be prepaid ($400.00) prior to the beginning of the group to encourage a consistent cohort. I take Visa/Master-card,
checks, or cash.
The second group will be set up the same as the first group but the participants will be significant others, partners, friends, or family members dealing with a person in their lives contemplating or in the process of transitioning from female to male. This group will meet for two hours on Sunday evenings for eight weeks from 7-9 beginning September 27th. There are ten seats available for this group too.
I expect to run another similar series of groups for those transitioning from male to female beginning in January.
