Yes, it's time once again for "Laura asks questions about stuff she can't afford anyway!"

On today's exciting episode, we're talking breast forms!

Seriously, how many of you used them at some point during your transition, did you find it gratifying or more a reminder of what you still lacked?

Mind you, I don't really mean here using them on a rare occasion when you really wanted to rev up your feminine presentation but i mean more in the sense of using them every time you presented fem until you got enough natural growth (or implants) to feel good about presenting your real breasts.

Thoughts?

I used them all the time until I had my own adequate growth.  It all depends on the individual.  There are plenty of flat chested women out there, but they are nonetheless women.

There are many TS who feel that the female breast is an important identifier, myself included and I used different sizes of breast forms while I developed.

I used them while crossdressing. I'm not yet ready to transition, still working on self acceptance. When I purged most recently though, I died inside when my wife sold my forms on ebay. I loved those things. Although, in a way I was kind of disappointed in them because other crossdressers had said how they felt like such a part of them but they just felt so foreign to me.

If I do transition at some point, I would probably get new ones. The BF Store is awesome btw.

I don't like them, they just feel weird to me, like I'm playing dress up. Besides the real ones are coming along well enough.

However my corset has changed my freaking life, probably the same confidence thing at work there.

I never understood some girl's assertions that their "falsies" felt like a
part of themselves. I felt at times they contributed to my sense of being a
fraud. The only reason I used them was to be able to present a more feminine
form. The first ones I used, were made of knee-high stockings filled,
to the desired size, with rinsed and dried birdseed.

I found because of the weight, it was difficult to keep my "breasts"
in the cups of my bra, which resulted in a few potentially embarrassing situations.
I solved this problem by putting each falsie inside a knee-high and tied the ends together.
I wore them with the knot behind my back, weaving the "breasts around
the band of my bra and into the cups. I knick-named them my bolo- boobs.  :icon_chuckel:

The next ones I owned were "previously owned" silicone forms
that I bought from a friend. Of course they were lighter, less hassle
and more comfortable but, still at times, I felt like a fraud having to use them.
After I started HRT and my "Girls" developed to their present feminine beauty,
I am comfortable enough that I only need the little extra shaping provided by
a pair of silicone enhancers. I am not a fraud, I am a woman.

part of my problem is that I'm still big enough around the chest that you can't buy an "off the rack" bra with a band that big and if you could the cups would be at least a D

I can't credibly go from nothing to D in my town without folks realizing they are false which defeats the purpose.

I suppose they make some that stick on that don't have to have a bra....haven't really researched given the lack of funds

(speaking of which, if any of you girls have a set you have "outgrown" lying in a closet somewhere and are feeling charitable....;) )

Anyway, I'm starting a tangent here and don't mean to - I resign the floor to the discussion of the previous question.

How long does breast augmentation take?  Two hours, max?

Cheaper than cutting them off.  If you want it badly enough, you'll find the cash.

But you're missing my point....  again.

Her local crowd would notice the falsies?  Well, how are they to know they're not implants?

Everyone who knows me knows I couldn't afford to have a hangnail removed, let alone BA.

Yes, the town is THAT small - I don't know everyone here, but everyone who can name my name knows I ain't got spit.

I do good to "find the cash" to keep the utilities on - and had better not say publicly how I've been doing even that.

speaking of which I have a cutoff on the water/sewage/trash bill which is $40-something due Thursday and  right now I don't have it.

If I could come up with $6,000 I still probably couldn't in good conscious spend it on breasts.

Maybe I'd get wild and crazy and devote 1/4 of it to laser on the face but even that would be pretty risky.

If I were to win say $50K in the lottery (as if I buy lottery tickets right now either) then yeah, i'd be getting some work done...(first thing would probably be a lap-band though)

Hm, six grand isn't too bad really. It's hardly pocket change but it's doable...I've never really looked into that, but it's in the mental notecards now.

I hate forms, they feel weird. I used them a few times but long ago abandoned them. Feels so much better.

I have only very little development from HRT and look pretty flat-chested though sometimes I have to wear a sports bra.  Doesn't seem to matter, doesn't harm passing, there are plenty of flat GGs around.

As a cross-dresser, I used various things to create breasts.  They looked OK but never felt like much.  When I could finally afford some cheap forms - cloth-covered foam rubber, about $75 for the pair - I put them on and an unexpected wave of rightness came over me.  I still use them (or rather, their daughters, since I wore out the first set).

I'm five months on HRT and my girls are coming along fine, but they're still babies and don't even fill an A cup yet.  I've worn the forms every day since starting full time.  I don't want to get smaller forms because they will be smaller vertically, too, and therefore more '50s ICBM-nosecone shape.  I asked a GG friend about adjusting the size of the forms and she said just use the ones I have to make a pushup effect.  At some point I may have to adjust them or jump to a smaller size that is just me, but I'm not there yet.

I went from presenting male to presenting female with B-cup breasts.  The only comment I ever got (that was in my hearing) was when I told a young male friend I was TS rather than CD.  He looked at my chest and said: So those are real, huh?  (I just laughed and told him I will tell him when they are.)

To me, the breasts are part of the package.  They give me a more feminine shape and help detract from my relatively broad shoulders and narrow hips.  I feel I'm too skinny to present female without something on my chest.  Like the old American Express card, I don't leave home without them.

Hang in there, Laura.  Do what you need to do to keep living until the day you can transition.  And you look very good in your new picture.

See?  This is what I mean.  While everyone is at their own level of 'if you want it bad enough, you'll get it', it works.  If this means that driving a used car for a year or two is worth surgery, so be it.  If it means giving up smoking sends you on a long weekend in the country, great.  If it's that you're finding a way to get the basics covered, good.

...and are unemployed?

Then clearly, something like surgery is not attainable right now.  There's no magic answer to have surgery funded for everyone, but it is possible for more people than not.

i hate being negative, but i feel u, - the used car. if hope, hard work, sacrifice, & perseverance were enough, i'd feel energized & renewed! but God bless all of u that can make it happen!

I remember using a pair at the beginning to fill by bra (breast forms are a common and cheap clothing article in Japan). But now, I'm almost B-cup and I don't really need it anymore.
Maybe I will give them to some friend in need. :D

Or always (never owned one less than 10 years old)...go to a movie maybe once a year....plan ahead for the once a month or so we splurge on McDonalds....most of the clothing in the house (prob 80% of outerwear) comes from yard sales/Salvation Army....anything that costs more than $10 bucks is discussed as "when we get the money we should..."

Or own any recreational vehicle of any sort, or hunt or fish or gamble or dip or drink or play the lottery (anymore....do indulge 3 or 4 bucks on that when there's a regular payday) or go to the gym or pretty much anything else that can be "given up"
