Upon coming to college, many students for the first time have the opportunity to review things they have encountered throughout their youth, and decide what to keep and what to alter. There are many opportunities to reassess gender identity and look more closely at the mores in American society pertaining to gender roles. What is "normal" in American society and in the world community in general? What new ideas and understandings are the medical and psychological communities arriving at, and in what direction are gender ideologies headed? Many people are realizing every day that gender is a more ambiguous topic than previously thought. Many go through surgical operations to change their sex; others are content with simply living more like a "woman" or more like a "man." Many scientific journals have published articles on the subject, and many professionals, doctors, psychologists, and organizations are working to improve awareness to alleviate the difficulties people may experience due to societal stigmas attached to gender identity and behavior.

We need another forum for stuff like this.  The Stating the Obvious board.
It's easier to change your sex and gender in Iran, than it is in the United States.  Way easier.

Please read my novel, Dragonfly and the Pack of Three, available on Amazon - and encourage your local library to buy it too! We need realistic portrayals of trans people in literature, for all our sakes
