Socrates Exchange: Should Gender Matter?

We know there are physical differences between men and women. We also know historically there has been gender inequality and in some cultures its believed that one gender has a subservient role to the other. But have we reached an age in 2009 America where these differences still mean anything anymore... or should they? Post your thoughts below and respond to other postings.
