Hi all,
I'd first like to say I'm happy to find a place like,I'm from Greece so plz forgive me if I write "bad" english sometimes and I'm 22 years old...my typical name is John... and I believe I am a MTF person... Well I'm sure but I'm a bit confusedThe worst of all is having a Depression it's like mourning all the time(you some people may be having depression knowing how it is)

Never mind... That I wanted to ask is how a person taking only Androcur has affects..??? I 'm not ready for any eastrogens yet and my endocrinologist only took the time to write the "recipe" for the anti-androgens"..."he only suggested to chech out my liver to see if it's ok at about 4-6 weeks and he also told me that after some time as long as I would "take" Androcur I wouldn't have any erection or even an orgasm"!And with my right I asked him... What about the people how take anti-adrogens or ??

He just said "they don't have an orgasm too as long as they take anti-androgens" and suddenly just about I was just trying to understand what is going on whith all this stuff -It is supposed to be his work to tell me that- he says "look, there is no time, come on!" or something like that!!! He eventually gave me Androcur and he didn't even tell me in how long I will see effects or anything else...!!!
But the question is this and I would be greateful if any of you could answer to me  as I think you are much more experienced than I do!

1.b. Does it eventually worth losing orgasm ???

2 is'nt any other way to lose hair except anti-adrogen Maybe laser?

Thank you.... by heart....!!

Welcome, Ixt2003!

I'm pleased that you found us and decided to post your questions.  This site has a great amount of information and support.  You've come to the right place!

There is a large and very informative article about anti-androgens and other aspects of hormone replacement therapy in our WIKI.  You can get there by clicking on the WIKI link at the top of the screen, way over on the right.

These kinds of medicine affect everyone differently so what is written in the WIKI and in the forums may or may not happen to you personally.  As far as I know anti-androgens will not necessarily prevent orgasms but erections will definitely be decreased or eliminated.  If this is a great concern to you maybe taking this medicine is not really the best thing for you to do?  Neither anti-androgens or estrogens will eliminate facial hair.  Laser or electrolysis are the only way to get rid of your beard.

You don't mention seeing a therapist in your post.  It will be difficult but I think, if you aren't already, that you should find and see a psychologist or therapist who specializes in gender problems.  With his or her help you will be able to clarify your issues and continue on with your plans to transition or not.

I will be looking forward to reading more from you, thanks for joining us!

again, WELCOME ! !  :)
