I don't knit (could never figure it out) but I crochet from time to time. I also needlepoint/cross-stitch (or well, I *can* and I *have*, but I don't tend to much anymore - not due to it being "girly" just cuz I have little-to-no time for it these days). I also scrapbook a little, but I use my scrapbooking skills/materials more for art projects than actual photo albums.
Let's see, what else... I cry at sad movies, I am a Tupperware fanatic (and now sell it), I sew, I love chocolate (as in: can't live without it), and I like collecting beautiful journals/notebooks...
{I was going to list all of the "manly" things I do/like, as a contrast, but you know... it seems like it would be just "justifying" as in: see, I do "boy" things too! And I don't really feel the need to defend that. So I won't.

}
How much of that is due to spending 30 years trying to play the part of "girl" (unlike some, I've always cared way too much what people think, and so while I've always been a guy, I tried *really* hard for my whole life to fit in as a girl and "pass" acceptably) and having those hobbies rub off on me, and how much is due to not being forced away from those interests by the socialization that boys get growing up? I don't know.
But when it comes down to it, those are some things I genuinely like (in addition to many more traditionally "masculine" pasttimes, and many activities that have somehow escaped society's sexism and are considered "gender neutral"), and they are a small part of what makes up who I am. The fact that I'm a guy who likes those things doesn't really concern me all that much. I'd rather be a guy who gets to be my well-rounded and nerdy self than to be someone I'm not: either a girl, or a guy who turns away from things he sincerely enjoys just out of trying to be who society says he should be.
If that makes any sense... lol!
