For me it's the Ghost Busters' theme song. I hear this & something inside me just snaps...I, I, I just cannot take it anymore...& they're still using it in comercials, local comercials, with contracts that specify no particular end. They just keep on playing them every where, over & over...I just can't take any more! You hear it too...don't you? It's OK, I won't tell any one, I really don't want to talk about it all, I'm just saying...

I Will Always Love You as done by Whitney Houston.  I remember when it first came out there was a piece in the paper about a woman who shot her neighbor because the lady kept playing it over and over at top volume.  My first thought was, "Sounds like justifiable homicide to me."

Virtually anything of the rap genre (prefixed with a silent c).  Something about the mindless repetition of a two to four bar sequence over and over with a stereotypical, exaggerated ebonic recitation just bores me rigid.

When I hear that stupid milkshake song, I feel like strangling someone. I don't hear it often, but it does come up from time to time. Usually just when I'm thinking with relief, "Gee, I haven't heard that idiotic milkshake song in a long time..."

The theme song to "Firefly". It's so pretty, but all there is of it is the short little theme song bit, there isn't a full version. Very anticlimatic.

Tom Sawyer - Rush

Talented musicians, But Geddy Lee (AKA Screaming Chicken Man) should have just played bass and left the vocals to someone else

Plus it is way too repetitious and monotonous.

This vid. says it's live. But looks like studio stuff to me....

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Thanks Chrissty,

Years of intensive shock therapy undone in seconds  I'd forgotten that (thankfully) I remember the clip and thinking what sort of stuff were they on, I'm betting formaldehyde.

Of the recent genre; Beyonce's 'put a ring on it'. Or some such name. Ahhhh.

Finewine, I met a guy recently (another story) who has a "friend" who is trying to convince him of the musicality of (c)rap by playing him selections. It's driving him mad. Doesn't want to insult his friend but will probably kill him instead.

Arch and Tristan, I'd never heard the milkshake song. Australia is too civilised for it. But now you've let it loose.

That's it we are going to declare war. The War against Terrible

Don't feel bad, Cindy.  I've never heard the milkshake song either. And I've always that rap rhymed with crap for a reason.  Although, I can enjoy some of the more pop based rap in very small doses.  (I.e., one playing of Boom Boom Pow and I'm good for a week.  ;D)  But then, my taste in music has always been at least 20 years behind the times.  Even when I was a kid and I refused to listen to anything except The Beatles. (Not cool in the mid-eighties.)

Come to think of it, it HAS been a long time since I...GEE, THANKS, TRISTAN.

It's a good thing I just got up because if I were about to go to bed, I'd be sure to have nightmares.

Maybe I still will.

Where's the vomit emoticon when you need it?

Haha, sorry Arch, I just never thought there would be a time where I could post that link legitimately.
