Hi everyone!  I've been looking at this forum (reading topics and such) for the past few days, and today I felt like it was time to register.  You all seem like really great people...  Maybe we can help each other out. 

I daresay I could use some help.  I just realized recently that I might have GID.  My gender has been something that has bothered me my whole life, but I didn't even know that transgendered people existed until maybe a few years ago.  (I've lived a pretty sheltered life.)  I "came out" to my mom the other day, and asked her to help me find a therapist.  So I'm on the road right now, to who knows where?

Anyway, I've registered as Between Names because, well...  That's exactly how I feel today.  I don't want people to call me my old female name anymore, but I also don't feel comfortable yet with asking people to call me a male name.  I'm just kind of stuck.

I'm born female, brown hair, brown eyes, red face, and I like long walks on the beach and The Lion King.  Not really much else to say I guess.     If there's something else you want to know, feel free to ask.

Actually, I know exactly what name I want!  I just don't know if now is a good time to ask people to use the name I've chosen.  I'm still doing some soul-searching.  We'll see how it goes.

Hi and welcome to Susan's. I had aname picked out for a long time but wiated to do anything til my kids were able to live on their own as I was an only parent. When and if the time is right for you you will know unless your (james, walter, vega, etc). I say that because he is a unique individual, as we all are and I hope you now that that is perfectly OK. Anyway, feel free to ask or comment as the need arises.
