Anniversary show at Jungle tonight

Since research points to women hitting their sexual peak after their 30th birthday — and even much later — one can only imagine the climaxes the notorious drag queens of the South will reach as the Armorettes enter their fourth decade. The drag troupe holds its special anniversary show at the Jungle, 2115 Faulkner Road, tonight at 8 p.m.

What originally started as a Sunday night fundraiser at the Armory,  a now shuttered gay bar, has turned into one of the iconic experiences of Atlanta's gay nightlife. The show is now older than many in the club-going scene, and its history still stuns the 13th and newest Armorette, Jason Livingston, who performs as J. Licious.
