Renowned LGBT speaker Jamison Green spoke Tuesday about issues related to legal troubles that the trans-community faces, as well as physical and personal problems.

Both those directly and indirectly involved with the trans-community said they were glad to see Green come to Columbia.

"He is using private issues and bringing them to the public eye," said junior Nathan Gerth, who attended the event. "It's so brave, what he's doing."

Green's book "Becoming a Visible Man" is good. I recommend it.
