Carolyn

I have a few things to get off my chest at the moment.

1/The Movie Creation will not be shown in the USA

It will not be shown because only about 39% of the people within the USA
accept, the 99.99% proven theory of evolution, yet we can show a film like Passion of the Christ.

COME THE F*** ON PEOPLE, THIS IS REALITY!!!! EVOLUTION HAPPENS AND IS REAL and sorry but if you claim "I don't believe in it" then your either a complete moron or you need to pick up a biology book and educate yourself.

2/Is it really so f****** hard to stop saying "he, him and his" and begin saying "she, her and hers" Only one ONE bloody co-worker does it, out of everyone I work with (at least 12 others) without me having to remind him.

3/I just have to say this: Why the hell am I such an outcast, it doesn't matter where I am at, who I am with or anything. I fit in no where, it annoys me to the highest caliber.

4/Last but not least, why should I care if I hurt the emotional feelings of my family members, It's not like they have ever taking mine into account, it's also not like they have actually educated themselves on anything, except there little religion (which even that they are not well educated in)

I just want to go somewhere and yell, not to mention I want to just cover this whole damn world in a sea of undying flames, until not a single cell of life is left on it's surface...
Sometimes I just want to end everything!!!

You have one, some would give just about anything for that.
Maybe your blind rage is contributing to your problems.

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Hmm, I also saw this reported on the Telegraph pages.

I shouldn't worry too much, even if the 39% figure is accurate, it's not going to stop people who want to see it from seeing it.  The imbeciles who think evolution is an anti-god, racist or eugenicist fantasy won't change their minds even if they do see the film and those that do have more brain cells than teeth are probably within that 39% already.

1. It doesn't seem like anyone's barred the cinemas from showing it, they just decided not to. Probably because of profit issues.
No distributor has the guts to show it.

Something "could" be done about it. Start a petition or whatever and lobby a distributor or a cinema into showing it.
Wait for it to be released on DVD and show it to people.

Either way. No one's being "ordered" not to show it, they simply choose not to.

and on 4.
You won't get any respect for anyone unless you give respect. Sometimes, we, who feel we're at a disadvantage, have to realize that it's hard for other people to accept who we are and always have been, because to them it's new.
It's not "really" new, but to someone who's never seen it, it's new.
Kinda like how kids today haven't seen chess before, and if you show it to them, they have no idea what it is, how to play it or what all the little pieces do. You have to show them, step by step, how it works.
A part of that is to accept that they might not intend to hurt your feelings when they do, they just don't know that what they're doing will do that. If you start hurting them right back, and deliberately, they won't stop hurting you, they'll start disliking you and hurting you further, in their own retaliation.
You can choose not to add to the problem and simply refuse to sink to their level. Refuse to hurt back. And be the bigger person here.
Eye for an Eye and the whole world goes blind.

I don't think that people won't show it, the controversy alone would the art house crowd, but I think they can't get a distributor for it.

But, baby, love, honey, we're talking Hollywood here.  So with all this press, I'm sure someone will pick it up.  Because in Hollywood, there is no such thing as bad press, all coverage is pretty much good.  So there is money to be made now, and someone will take that money.  And it will be released on DVD, which is how most people see movies anymore anyway.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I thought you were in the UK.  ???

Nope I live in the USA.
Why would you think I'm from the UK?

Now moving on to the other posts

Maybe you all are right about the movie.
Now on to heatherrose & Miniar

It's not blind rage, it's rage built up from them, I have asked time and time again, and still do in a nice clam manner for them to cease but to no end. And when it comes to my family, they know that they are hurting my feelings. They have been like that since I came out last year. I have shown more respect for them that I should have over the years, so yea. I don't get any back, to hell with them.

Anyway thanks for your thoughts.

They were the same way about Fahrenheit 9/11 which ended up being the top grossing documentary of all time

1   Fahrenheit 9/11    Lions    $119,194,771    2,011
2    March of the Penguins    WIP    $77,437,223    2,506
3    Earth (2009)    BV    $32,011,576    1,804
4    Sicko    LGF    $24,540,079    1,117
5    An Inconvenient Truth    ParC    $24,146,161    587
6    Bowling for Columbine    UA    $21,576,018    248
7    Madonna: Truth or Dare    Mira.    $15,012,935    652
8    Religulous    LGF    $13,011,160    568    $3,409,643    502
9    Winged Migration    SPC    $11,689,053    202
10    Super Size Me    IDP    $11,536,423    230

It ended up with a take of  $27,558.33 per theatre that showed it on its opening weekend. I am so looking forward to his new film Capitalism: A Love Story...

In general, yes. It is that difficult.

Research has shown that we gender one another in something less than 2 seconds upon meeting one another.

To have gendered someone is to generally remain with that gender imprint on them as long as the contact is regular and constant.

I love that quote! And the movie Religulous is both funny and scary at the same time. Never underestimate the power of willful ignorance in large groups.

Like tekla said, it will be available on DVD or they'll probably have it on HBO anyway, they show pretty much anything on there. Now I can't wait to see it!

Carolyn....

Most of the people where I work have finally come 'round......
but almost a year ago, I told one guy I work with, "If you want to look down my blouse every time I bend over, you have to stop calling me 'he'.....
A nervous titter (so to speak) rippled through the small group that was clustered around at the time.
Now....
he calls me 'she'  ;)

Another guy couldn't (wouldn't) get it right, so every time he called me he, I called him 'she'.  After a while, he began calling me 'she'.

Sometimes you won't get a thing you ask for.....

Sometimes you have to take it......
