THE Feast program launched last night pays particular attention to local talent, but balances it with some star attractions from interstate and overseas.

From Berlin, Bridge Markland's one-woman transgender show, Bridgeland Zwei, combines everything from strip show to political commentary on sexuality and transgender issues.

And from Sydney, Gurlesque is going to break its usual boundaries for the first time and perform for men as well as women. Until now, the 10-year-old erotic burlesque has been restricted to female audiences alone, so the Adelaide outing will be something of an experiment.
