http://www.afterellen.com/node/60117Well obviously that is not always the case but when someone discriminates against people who do not or simply can not force their hearts to follow socionormatives, I feel bad. I have been M.I.A. for a while because of the ignorance floating around about this issue and I find it utterly disgusting. I know not everyone will be as open minded as myself about this issue but to say "Oh I don't like this person because they are not a 'real woman' or 'real man' it is what it is" I find it stupid, and for homosexuals to discriminate because someone's gender expression does not align with their gender identity and in the same breath ask for acceptance by mainstream society, that is definitely hypocritical.
I logged on yesterday and there was a question about dating trans people and the transphobic comments were disgusting but was even more disgusting was the fact that one comment stated that they did not care if people were trans but as long as they act like a "real man or real woman". So can you seriously say once a trans person transitions that they must go based on stereotypical guidelines in order to be considered a "real man or real woman".
