Well, there are now 3 people at work who know about me, aside from the HR manager.  One of them has done a remarkable job at acting completely normal.  The other two have made an extra-special effort at being nice to me, as if they just found out I have cancer or something.  ::)  I appreciate the effort, and it's a lot better than the alternative, but it's also a bit disconcerting.

Anyway, this week the rest of management is going to be told, and then I will be coming out to the staff in general at the monthly all-employee meeting in the last week of October, probably the day before my birthday.  Well, happy birthday to me!  ;D  I hope it goes well. 

I think it will.  I'm really lucky to work at a company that has been willing to work with me closely to manage the coming out process.

congratulations. I've got as far as changing my name at work but haven't told them the rest of it yet. thought i'd wait til i get onto the program for that
