You need to get up to 15 posts before you can edit your profile, send PMs, etc. You're called a visitor until then. So jump in and start being a part of the discussions, start some threads of your own, etc.

Just be careful not to "pad" your post count by posting irrelevant things just to get your posts up, the mods will look for things like that. But as long as you're just being sincere and talking about things that interest you, you'll be fine.
