Where do you get the idea that there were any good old days to reminisce about.
Have you ever talked to someone who survived the "Great Depression" by selling
cigarettes and shining shoes or a minority veteran of a forgotten war, who came
home only to be hosed down and attacked by police dogs in the streets, when he
refused to drink only from the "Colored" fountain or a mother who's two sons will never
return from a "Police Action", instigated by "The Military Industrial Complex"? As I watch
the "paper money mache' world" that has been constructed by our puppet masters,
collapse around our ears, I don't remember any "good old days". We have forgotten the
lessons of history and have allowed ourselves to be lulled into a Hollywood and Silicon
Valley induced coma. Do not delude yourself, it can and most probably will get worse.
I don't see much of a party coming on the horizon but as twilight sets on civilization,
Here, let me pour you a dixie cup of Jim Jones Kool-aide.

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers
