"From the age that I can remember — that I can think of — I knew I was meant to be a girl," said Jessica.

Not being born with the right body, though, has made her life one that seemed destined for a tragic end.

With a male body, Jessica grew up as a boy, into a man — married, had a career, bought a house — managing to maintain a facade while suffering inside.
