New Organization Elects to Help Those in Need of Gender-Related Surgeries

After raising over $1,000 for its first grant recipient's gender-related surgery, this summer's regular dance parties will continue into the fall, benefiting other gender-bending causes.
"I want to keep it alive so that people who aren't getting the health care they need can have this opportunity," says GenderF___ organizer Adam North, the 26-year-old regional head of Blue Monster Productions. North believes that gender-related surgeries are not just "elective" for some people, and criticizes insurance agencies for not covering such procedures.
