VADODARA: Diwali cleaning at any household might need a couple of maids, some floor cleaner and brooms. But at a transgender's house in the city,
the requirement is of 10 maids, around 20 kgs of tamarind, a lot of fine riverbed clay dust and three days of effort. And all this merely to clean utensils!

The community in Vadodara has, since years, accumulated bronze and copper utensils in their houses. As many as 25 transgender households exist at Baranpura area of the city and all of them stick to this routine of cleaning every year.

Probably voicing a lot of opinion here.... but... Eh? What does transgender people and Diwali have to do with one another? or is this a weird slow news day article?
