Storing of hormones in hot weather..

My housemate recently showed concerns about the storing of meds when the temp is above 30C/86F. She freaked and put them in the crisper section of the fridge then worried about them getting too cold?!!! lol. Ok ..so does anyone know about this? Do temps above 30/86 deplete meds? and can they be stored in the fridge safely??!

P.s I'm guessing that if there is any depletion it would no doubt be tiny, but you know! Peace of mind.

Fridge might be too cold.
You will probably finish the box before it gets any damage, don't pile them up!

Found this:-
STORAGE: Should be stored between 15°C (59°F) and 30°C (86°F).
So no fridge! I have no air-con so I'm just going to keep them in a low closed draw and hope for the best!!!

Also beware of humidity.  Bathrooms are really bad for medications.  So is the Fridge.  Your bedroom is best out of the light.

Mine are pills, I have a temperature gauge thing that I'm going to use in my draw etc and just keep moving it to find the best spot. *feels it is my duty as a thread host to supply the wine - pores the first round!!*

In both self med & going through a Dr, I've never seen an unopened med pro w/o clear storage parameters. If you are going through a Dr, than ask your pharm. If you are s/m, then read the box & as someome else already stated humidity is the biggest threat to meds in dry form.

Bella: My meds only state the max temp not the min which was my concern with the fridge!
I just saw my doc last week but I didn't ask her as I hadn't thought of it then, it won't be for another few weeks before I get the chance to run it past her to double check.
Anyways yeah my meds are all sealed in blister packs and white bottles so no humidity exposure!

Unless you're buying large quanties I don't see how temp should be an issue unless your home gets really hot 100 F or more for long periods daily. I would keep them out of direct sunlight which it sounds like you're doing anyway.
