Hi everyone! from today I'm having my SRS in a week!!!! SO excited :D However the worst thing happened a few days ago! I've had a bit of a cough for a while now that just won't shift no matter what I'm taking, I think working in a hospital doesn't really help. So a couple of days ago I started to feel really tired. I went home and went straight to bed and woke up with headaches, a running nose, nausea and dizzyness....and the cough. I felt like crying :( I cant believe I've fallen this ill this close to SRS :(:( I went straight to my GP, explained my situation and what I'm supposed to be having done in such a short period of time. He put me on a high amount of anti biotics, told me to take vitamin c and de congestants. Thankfully now a couple of days later I feel much better, and am only left with the cough and a SLIGHTLY running nose. I'm not risking going back to work this close, I work in a cardio respitory environment so there is lots of coughing and phelgm going on...and I am not risking getting anything! I thought I would just share my....extremely bad luck with you all haha! And if anyone knows how to get rid of a cough I am ALL EARS! :)

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.  :icon_bunch: I hope you start feeling better. I find myself in kind of the same thing. I work at a hospital also, although the worst I have at the moment is the sinus problems. Its really is scary having so many sick people around you are this close to ones surgery.

What bothers me is that all I am supposed to be taking per Dr Brassard is Tylenol. If your surgeon hasn't specified, maybe you can call and they can advise you what is allowed. Hugs

congrats, and hopefully your cold goes away. Vitamin D is also supposed to help with your immune system.

Hi everyone! from today I'm having my SRS in a week!!!!

How scary... *huge* congratulations and *huggs*....   A really bad nightmare, and my thoughts are with you.   I have no real advice, except lots of fluids, tomato soup!, saltines (are magical!), and seven-up (curative properties are yet to be realized) , and take care of yourself, rest and pampering.   I have envisioned this scenario in my head, and I can't imagine what you are going through, please know that I'm sending all my positive cosmic vibes your way!  Let me know if they work, *huggs*!!!

Thanks so much everyone, you're very nice! I feel just like my old self now, except I still have a cough and a bit of a congested nose but no where near as bad as I felt, it's getting better and better thankfully. I am sure I'll be fit for surgery :) and if not Ill just...hold back my little coughs infront of Suporn haha! I'm joking of course....kind of :| Thanks for the nice messages!
