That was my thought as well.  Apparently he fit it all into his home (or at least where he lived when he was arrested.)

The sad thing is that he could have afforded to buy a hefty percentage of it all.  I wonder if he stole because he felt ashamed to buy female clothing?

Every item in O'Connell's hoard was eventually returned to M&S, which is now expected to sell the clothes to its staff at knockdown prices.
