I live in a kinda small town, and I already asked my college to recommend someone, and the persons phone had been disconnected.

Try on-line.  There are actually a couple now.

I actually use an online guy, Dr. Peveller (www.gendertherapist.com). A few other people on Susan's use him as well and his T letters seem to be accepted a lot of places. He's really affordable, only $110/4 sessions, which is a life saver for us starving men-to-be.

What are his credentials (what specific degree(s) does he have?), and what's his accreditation status?

I know I can find out by looking at his site, but I'm asking this question in order to remind other people to keep these things in mind when selecting a therapist.  It makes an especially big difference when you need an official letter that will be taken seriously by all the medical professionals you'll encounter.

Nero used him and was pleased.  PM him and I am sure he will answer your questions.

Sorry Little brother to put you on the spot.

Overall not bad, his site is a little disorganized so you might want to just talk to him; he comes off as not very computer-savvy. Big drawback is he IS overseas in the Philipines (though his letters are generally accepted here in the US) so scheduling sessions can be a pain---mine are usually pretty late night as there's a 12-hour time difference from him to me in MI.

Its not real therapy, nor will it take the place of a real councilor - its "I'll give you a letter for $X, once you pay me."  A great argument for informed consent and dropping the gate keeping stuff when it gets to be this much of a joke.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...
