Sup everyone.
I am 23 year old pre-op & pre-T FTM. I have a girl who loves me for who I am and I am very lucky to have a family who accepts me.
Lately I've been watching many FTM's transition journey online and they have been an inspiration to me. I need to take that next step in my life.
Although I pass as a male everyday, I still get depress over my body.I am looking into top surgery and had my first therapy meeting last Thursday.
Now I am still deciding if I should take T or not.I afraid of the health risk, mainly because I want my own kids one day (by having my egg place into my partners ovaries).

Hi Sincere, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3500 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

You may wish to look into having your eggs frozen and then go for implantation later.  It would be nice if they could use DNA from both of you.  But that may not be possible.

Blessed Be.
Janet

You should check this out: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/3323846/Sperm-cells-created-from-female-embryo.html

I also remember reading somewhere that scientests had lined the innards of mice testicles with a female mouse's stem cells or something which resulted in sperm that was geneticly the female mouse's. But I couldn't find where I read that...

Be sure you post that in the FTM section if you find it. Some of us boys would really be interested in hearing that.

hi Sincere!
Re. the article... yes, have heard about that. Really interesting because what it means is that when the technology has been worked out someone could steal your DNA (which isn't too difficult) and make a baby out of it without your consent or knowledge. Scary!

Hi Sincere,

Welcome.  I'm glad you are here.

Idk, it seems a bit farfetched that people will steal random other people's DNA and make children with it. Possibly a stalker-type would, but this'll be hideously expensive for quite a while after it's developed. Plus, stem cells are a bit more difficult to obtain than hair or skin (the most common), neither of which are likely to work.

As for the boys wanting it? As long as you're fine with nothing but daughters, go right ahead.
I'd probably get it too; mine likely don't work very well after all the T-blockers. There'd be no such thing as sterility anymore.

Couldn't they just kill off all the (genetic) men if they developed this, though? No need for them any more, reproductively speaking. Engineer a virus or such that attacks the Y-chromosome... </conspiracy theory>

Well, yes, this type of repro is the basis of many a science-fiction story.

I would prefer a girl anyway.

Why would they kill off genetic men? There's no reason to. Humans are so far removed from what we once were that most things we do would be considered unnatural. I think we've created more anxiety disorders just by how we are currently living. We don't kill off people who are unable to have children themselves.

Some people still feel that infertility is a punishment from on high, but I don't think they kill the infertile.

I used to get endless hassles because I said I didn't want kids. I was considered "unnatural" because I was a "woman" who didn't want children. But that's a different story.

I was only joking about the conspiracy theory thing, sorry about that. I should have made it clearer, I suppose.

I'd prefer a girl too; I'm just making sure people understand the limitations their chromosomes are imposing here. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Edit: Oh, and as for the original topic, I neglected to reply. Welcome to the forums, S1ncere! I'll try to keep my thread-jacking under control. ^-^

I wouldn't mind someone stealing my DNA (or sperm for that matter) and makeing or having a baby with it. The more me there is out there the better.   ;D

A distinctly male sentiment.

A distinctly male sentiment.

I think it has alot to do with my philosophy that we live on through our actions, and a child is quite a big action, in my opinion...
