Hello, I'm new to the forums, I've been to the site many times and just now decided to join the forums. I had a question about hormones and age.

I'm already in the process, been seeing a therapist, and she's given me the go ahead to start HRT. I'm supposed to go back in January to pick up my prescription and ask any questions I have.

Well my question is, i'm 22 and will be turning 23 a month or so after I pick up the prescription, I've read age makes a big difference, is 22ish 23ish considered young for hormones or older? I was curious if it will be a dramatic change or less dramatic because of my age, I wish I could of started earlier, but its hard to see a therapist at a young age when your parents are homophobic bible thumpers, only ones that don't support me in my family, which is kind of sad I think.

Hi Kaide, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3600 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another member. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

I think that you have to be the age of majority, usually 18 or 20.

Blessed Be.

Hi gurl, yes earlier tends to produce more dramatic results until about 35+ & then the playing field starts to even out pretty fast,  but eveyone is different. I found most of initial info at www.tsroadmap.com it's a site run by a ts Dr.

Really? cool, I was just wondering because when I read people always say its best to start when you're around 13 and what not.
