I guess what I am wondering is if the testys are removed then how does a man get horny? And can estrogen cause hornyness in a man?

Adrenal glands produce androgens. Ten times less.

You seem to think there are differences in hormone receptors in male or female bodies. There aren't.

I wouldn't think so.

Everyone has varying levels of testosterone and estrogen, whether or not testes are involved. Men just generate more testosterone than estrogen. From what I've heard, it doesn't have much baring on how much you want sex, but it changes how you experience your sex drive. Men and women get turned on in different ways.

I'm mtf so I can't comment on ftm from personal perspective. After starting hrt, my body & mind acts/reacts in a much more feminine way. Orgasms are more prolonged & I totally get why women scream/moan. It's like waves flushing over & through your body & you want & need to follow through it. Guys slow down to almost a stop, hold they're breath, & have an extremely intense but short lived spasm of release/pleasure. It's not like one or the other is better in general, but what's right for you. As far as getting horny, I'd rather fantasize (preferably looking at an attractive person in the flesh) in my mind than look at porn. I feel butterflies, like my mind, boobs, & bottom side are connected as opposed to a raging hard-on, I feel the blood flush to the surface all over. Guys are hardwired for visual & obvious stimulation, while women are into emotional/fantasy rather than just raw stimulation from a standstill. Most of all this a very broad & oversimplified(are there really words?) generalization. People are so different that even trying to describe feels offensive.

Well I'm not on T yet, but I found that very interesting.

Because I do hold my breath and it's short lived for me. On the other hand I can go for multiples with no issue, so it may be that my brain needs to run on the right juice.

It'd be interesting to hear an FTM who has been on T say something about this.

Did you think I was FTM. Maybe I have implied that unintentionaly by the way i phrased my Q,  but I'm MTF.
Info's still been helpful though especially what you have said.

I was wondering why all these sexy men were commenting on my topic.

:icon_redface:

We care more about testosterone?

From what Bellaon said I guess I do it like a man. That is pretty interesting though, I guess having a female body doesn't necessarily give you the experience.

Myself

I remember meeting some ftm, they said the moment they were on t they started thinking  about sex all day long :D

There are more hormones other then testosterone which can increase your sex drive, such as progesterone.

But even after removal of the testicles, the adrenal gland produces testosterone just like in any other woman.
