Hey, Aaron. I used to have a mohawk, too, on and off for years. The length of the hawk itself varied anywhere from several inches to chin length; I've found that letting the sides get kinda long isn't all that bad really, especially if you've got length on top- so I'd just quit shaving the sides and let them grow out a little, maybe a month depending on how quick your stubble grows, if you're concerned about avoiding that 'totally bald chick/waifboy' look when you do go ahead and shave the long part off. That way you can go straight to having a buzz type cut with a little more on top, instead of the bald look.
I'm not trying to be offensive, but your current hair is pretty feminizing/reveals your face and skull shape a lot, so you're not going to ruin your pass-ability by shaving the rest off. And even if you're worried you'll look like a mook with no hair, it'll be a month, maybe two tops, for it to grow back out again into something you can manipulate via shaving lengths, so even if you do go bald-ish you won't be stuck that way for very long. 🙂
