A U.S. House committee has set Wednesday as the day it will vote on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, the next step toward passing a bill that would bar workplace discrimination against gay and transgender Americans.

Aaron Albright, spokesperson for the House Education & Labor Committee, said the markup would take place Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. in the House Rayburn Building's room 2175.
