You kids should try Anarchy Online, it's like World of Warcraft but actually fun. Someone described it as "electronic crack" the other day and I had to laugh at how accurate the comment is. You can play for free forever, but you'll want to become a paying subscriber if you get hooked.

I still log into it every now and then, but I really do enjoy being a homely, fat, poor, real girl a lot more than a beautiful, wealthy, powerful cartoon one.  Besides, my in-game friends have all quit and moved on with their lives too, and things just aren't as fun as I remember. The game has actually gotten better, I just can't get back into it because it was always about friends and relationships for me anyway, and I can't be bothered to go to the trouble of making new cartoon friends.

I couldn't stand AO to be honest. To each their own.
Don't be scared to fly alone, find a path that is your own
Love will open every door it's in your hands, the world is yours
Don't hold back and always know, all the answers will unfold
What are you waiting for, spread your wings and soar

We have this thread every couple of months. Someone plays a night elf female hunter in Azeroth to hide from what's going on in real life and asks if anyone else feels good about doing the same thing. It's cheap entertainment but please don't substitute it for real life or real transition.

Funny you mention that. I remember a post similar to this being made the last time the topic came up. :P

That being said, I felt the first post of this thread was benign and not at all indicative of a "standard WoW thread."

I gave up on WOW imediatly after the major twink nurf.
Played Twinkerbell on Dalaran. The bitch is straped.
I had 70's but they were no where near as fun as my Twinks. Which was my game. I have tons of twinks on my old account.

I love posts like this.

Most, I suspect won't have a clue what this is about. It could be written in another language. Those who know WoW will probably know exactly what is being said.

I know how it reads...but only because the language of MMOs translates pretty well from WoW to EQ2 (they're really similar games in a lot of ways) ...hell, all I have to do is start ranting about the dreaded "proc nerf" that happened in EQ2 and people there get all up in arms as if I've killed their children, and I'm sure WoW players know what procs and nerfs are.

Proc bassed enchants are ussualy lame. Thats why if I use one its fiery wepon. It doesnt scale with level. It does 40 damage every proc like clockwork.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
