As I understand the process, the sperm has to be frozen pretty quickly to remain viable after thawing.
I don't know that hospitals would have the facilities or the inclination to freeze, preserve and ship a specimen to a sperm bank.
Call or email to be sure. They probably field questions like this all the time. You don't have to give your name if you are uncomfortable.
