Jamison (James) Green  is one of the most influential trans men (and trans people) of our generation. In addition to his own book, Becoming a Visible Man, his writings have appeared in many collections and academic publications, as well as online, he has appeared in several films, and he is a policy consultant, workplace trainer, public speaker, educator, is on the Board of Directors for the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and was instrumental in the development of FTM International, the largest organization in the world for trans men, along with founder Lou Sullivan and after Sullivan's death. Below you will find the first part of a two-part interview with James. Look for part two tomorrow (November 25).

You have done so many things in your life that I can't possibly cover them all in one interview. What are the 3-5 things that you have accomplished as an activist of which you are the most proud?
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde
