Robin.

I have rather naturaly figured out the techniques to get my voice sounding feminie, thanks to some help from people here at the forum. The only thing I really need to do now is practice using it and practice bringing it a little low while sounding feminine.

But one of the things I see as a major problem is Coughing, Laughing, and Clearing the Throat. I can clear my throat with a feminine sound but it doesn't quite clear it well enough it seems. I can even cough with the right sound. i don't really know about laughing though because I havn't had much of a chance to adding femininity to it becuase I havnt been laughing alot lately. But even if I can achieve doing those things, one of my worries is there is always the chance of going into a coughing fit after chocking on something or, laughing uncontrolably...
And even if that could be worked out, I don't know how easily i could control my sound when having sex. And even then it would seem that controling it would be a tax on the mind and a sort of distraction.

So I was wondering if, although Voice surgery only effects the pitch, if it would aid in these areas i've mentioned?

while I'm not one to advise since I've been doing this all my life, the kicker is using your nose and mouth (upper airways) when coughing, laughing or whatever

A simple test is to puff out some air like a cough and feel where it is coming from, it should come from both mouth and nose, if you want cough a little to test it in action, while it's easy for me to say just do this, figuring out how to control the airway without thinking is the fun part

good luck

This is one of the most usefull topics I've seen posted. Personally I've learned learned how to quietly clear my throat, but cannot do so without dropping me addam's apple.

The most beneficial program for "Voice Feminization" I've seen is downloaded to my computer.  It is in the public domain so PM me and I'll send it to you.

Love,
Rachel

P.S.- You have to have a Mac; Idk the PC equivalent.

when I asked about coughing like a woman on another forum I got sneered out of the place by the ->-bleeped-<-s - they just don't have the same mindset as TS and don't give a damn what they sound like.
