I need to start on my term paper soon, but I can't find anything that suits my fancy. I don't like to do boring papers, even though they're easier. It's a psych class about stress and it's connection to disease, and the paper needs to be a 10 page recap of some relatively recent research. Has anybody read anything good lately?

What about the stress we face daily and the fact that many become sick because of it.  I have no research for you, just a suggestion.

Yeah that's the general idea. The whole term has been a rather in depth and dull look at how stress activates the immune system and the results of prolonged exposure to stress hormones and blah blah blah. I made the rookie mistake of taking two stress&disease classes from the same professor, so it's actually two papers since I can't just recycle one lol  ::)

I saw some work on how stress affected SO of cancer sufferers.

There is some nice stuff on top class athletes and stress related disorder.

Try PubMed or one of the other medical search engines for topicsHugs

How about recent studies that show that heart attack rates for middle aged persons, which once upon a time struck many more men then women, have seen that gap radically close in the last decade.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

#6
"Comparative effects of a prenatal stress occurring during early or late gestation on pig immune response"

Muwah, I'm so proud of myself. It looks like a dull subject but I hope it's interesting enough to the scientists out there (one in particular) to get an A! Wish me luck.

I like that heart attack thing, but I'm going to save the subject for a more involved class in a few terms that only this professor teaches. The whole small school thing is really nice, but you can't recycle papers  :(
