I am almost 5 mths post and my vagina is functional.  The only BIG problem i have is my urine stream.  It is so bad that it shoots straight out on the floor and hits the wall in front of my toilet.  The only time it goes pretty much down is right after sex.  It is a total mess.  I tried just urinating in the shower by standing gapped legged and it STILL went everywhere.  Does anyone have this problem? Also, I have hairs in my lower neck that i just cant get rid of.  I have been going to electrolysis every week without fail for 5 and a half yrs and STILL i have hairs.  I assumed that once the testicals were removed, it shouldnt take long for the hairs to stop but they still persists.  now they arent heavy like they used to be but i am sick of them.  anyone had this problem and did they stop eventually and how long?

Try leaning forward (like, way forward) to pee. Lots of natal females have to. I risk spraying out of the bowl unless I practically have my head between my knees.

i am lying practically down, i was told by the dr's office the same thing but this is ridiculous, but i will live with it because it had to be done but i was just wondering if anyone else had a severe problem like me and it got better over time.

have you tried closing your legs a little and leaning forward slightly. I had this problem while I was healing in the first two months and my pee would go sideways, up my bum, up the front but anything but down. A friend of mine said to slightly close the legs so there's about an inch/25mm gap looking down while sitting. I hope that makes sense. Now 95% of the time my stream is down into the loo. As for the hair I had top lip growth while off my HRT for surgery so I had to go back and get a top up laser on them a month ago. I was surprised too as I'd not had regrowth for a while so I guess it was lack of hormones or the production of T again. So I too hope they stay dead.

I realise this might not be the solution you're looking for, but could you get one of those stand to pee devices?

From what little I know of the surgical procedure, it sounds like your urethra has either been left a little long or positioned slightly forward.

You may be able to get a correction later. I doubt your current surgeon is prepared to admit any mistake, so it will probably need to be paid for separately. Moreover, it will involved cutting and stiching which will put sex out of the question for a while.

this poor aim is one of the things that frequently need a simple (?) revision surgery.  Several of my friends had to have it done and the brochure from the place I will be using also says this may be necessary as of course there is no real way to know where the tube will be pointing due to all the cutting and swelling of surgery.

Doesn't your surgeon have this correction as a free and follow up option?

As I've said already I had this problem and when I went back for my two month post op assessment with my surgeon he took a look, said he would stick something up my urethra, can't remember what it was. he was looking for either growth over the urethral tube or blockage because of the surgery. He said everything was OK. He just put it down to the urethra still needing to heal and settle down. I know I was only two months post op and not five+ Things have settles down as I've said and also trial and error while peeing. From what I can gather a large number of us have this problem. It is either remedied through time and healing or a simple revision as suggested by others here.

I had the same problem of the stream hitting the front of the toilet bowl after my Vaginoplasty.  Some times it even missed the bowl completely which was a mess.  I had to lean far forward to compensate for this.  However, after my Labiaplasty, the problem was corrected by my doctor.

I have to lean forward, too - the farther the better.  Just in the last few days (five months and one week post-op) things have started to settle down and I'm getting less of a mess than before.  I don't know why it would change, since everything seemed to have healed before this, but it did.  So perhaps it will get better on its own. :-\

K8, my surgeon told me it takes a whole year to really heal.

That's good to know, Stardust.  While most of the healing is done in the first weeks and months, it makes sense that the pace of the healing tapers off.

But I don't know - a whole year.  If I feel any better than I do now I won't know what to do with myself. ;D

Try leaning slightly forward with your knees closed or closer together. This works for me. Took a while to fit the right "spot" and position, but now it's second nature for me to do that as I sit.  Once you master that you can move on to the harder "hover"  :P

Also known as the "hands free," sorry couldn't resist (again).

it's all pretty much hands free these days lol   I always hover in public ladies rooms but I usually lift the seat first just in case because my aim is still variable. Oh and grab the paper first instead of squatting there over the bowl dripping while fumbling for it afterward lol

STARDUST, you are a dream.  I was not closing my legs while urinating, but as soon as I followed your advice by closing my thighs, I have never gotten it on the seat or floor at all.

YOU MEAN ALL I HAD TO DO ALL THIS TIME IS TO CLOSE MY LEGS.  HAHAHAH  I WAS SO BUSY WATCHING MY NEW SELF.
