I just thought it would be fun to find out... saw the thread about Strangeland, and figured it was a good topic.

Here's my not-so-shortlist to start us off:

Natural Born Killers (not so horror, but awesome nonetheless)
American Psycho
Cabin Fever
Prom Night (1980)
Nightmare on Elm Street (particularly 1, 3, and 6)
Hostel 1 & 2
Final Destination 1 & 2
Idle Hands
Night of the Comet
Ginger Snaps
Jennifer's Body (just saw it last week, and I swear it's destined to become a cult classic. Argue with me if you'd like)

Okay... have at. And yes, I know there have already been threads about horror films. So sue me.

For me, they would be.

Any Saw.
Any Halloween
Psycho  (the original ) the first time I saw it I would not close the curtain when showering.
Any Hellraiser

But most I have to see alone.  My GF just does not like really bloody horror movies.

The whole Nightmare on Elm Street series.
Friday the 13th series (and the relaunch)
Alien series (Except Ressurection... what a godawful failure)
The Predator movies, though I guess they could be classified as action movies.
Final Destination 1 & 2.  Oh my god 3 sucked.
Rob Zombie's Halloween.
The Evil Dead series
Idle Hands
Um..... a lot of them?

The closest I can get to a horror flick is,
"The Son of Frankenstein"
I once was able to sit (or rather squirm)
through less than five minutes of "Hell Raiser 27",
then I had to watch thirty-seven straight hours of
"Care Bear" cartoons, to balance the evil.

I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

My absolute favorite is the uncut version of "The Exorcist" and of course the original version.  I still haven't seen a horror movie that gives me the chills more than this movie.

Valkyrie

My favorite horror movies are:

30 Days of Night (SOOOOOOOO Awesome)
Hellraiser 1 & 2
Rob Zombie's Halloween (I haven't seen the second yet)
American Psycho
Nightmare on Elm Street 1 & 2

I love and hate the Evil Dead series. My personal favorite is 2 but they aren't very scary, they're a little bit too humorous.

OMG Has anyone seen the preview to the new Nightmare on Elm St. remake? it looks BadA$$. Haley's going to be an awesome Krueger.

And I'm totally going to see The Wolfman this month, that looks very.

I also greatly appreciate all the Alien and Predator films, and the AVP movies as well (although AVP 2 was atronomically better than the first) and I'm greatly anticipating Predators starring Adrien Brody, however I think of those more as Science Fiction movies than horror movies.

OMG I forgot about John Carpenter's The Thing. That movie is Classic, and it still holds up today.

And the movie Jenifer. It's only like an hour long but it's totally funny in a very macabre sense. This cop shoots a dude whose gonna kill jenifer and then realizes whe's all disfigured and he feels sorry for her so he takes her home and she like eats his cat and the girl next door and the f**k a whole bunch it's just so weird then they move out into an abandoned shack in the woods and omg it's priceless go watch it.
